Springfield Golf Club

Springfield, South Dakota

All-In-One Golf Source Review

Golf Course Location-Springfield Golf Club is located in east Springfield, South Dakota. From Yankton go west on Highway 50 and then south to Springfield just follow the signs. It is approximately 40 miles west of Yankton. Springfield Golf Club is similar to Lakeview Golf Course in that it is on the opposite side of the Missouri River and it has much the same uneven lies.

Golf Course Description-Springfield Golf Club is a nine hole hilly course. It measures 3016 from the whites and 2586 from the red tees. It is a par 36 for both men and women. The fairways are narrow and there are several doglegs. Water comes into play on hole #2 a par 4 and hole #3 a uphill par 3.

The two par threes are 165 and 146 yards from the whites and 135 and 136 yards from the reds. The distances are deceiving since you are hitting uphill on hole #3 and downhill on hole #6.

Course Conditions-The greens were in good condition. The fairways and roughs were in fair condition, the mowers were out.

Uniqueness of this course-The mosquitoes. Who would have thought in September, that you woud need a mosquito net. When golfing Springfield I would suggest you take your mosquito spray. We had a good time and Springfield. It was a fun and scenic course.
