Golf Course Location-The Highlands Golf Club is located 2 1/2 north off of the 12th Street Exit in Lincoln, Nebraska. On Interstate 80 take the 12th Street (Airport) Exit, continue north on NW 12th Street until you see the clubhouse to your left.

Golf Course Description-The Highlands Golf Club is basically treeless. This high open wind-swept course has many sandtraps. It measures 6022 yards from the middle tees and 5280 for the forward tees. It is a par 72 course. The men's rating is 68.2 from the blues and women's rating is 69.4 from the white and the slope is 111 for both.

Water comes into play on three holes, the par 3 #12 which measures 88 and 116 from the whites and blue. Water is on your left. Holes #9 and #18, both par four holes are bordered by a large encased lake. It is very demanding to get down the fairway on #9 and still stay dry.

Course Conditions-The greens are large with many greens having various levels. The greens are guarded by either sand or grass bunkers or in many cases... both. The fairways are wide with deep roughs and sandtraps at strategic driving areas.

Uniqueness of this course-Highlands has the largest fairway sandtrap I ever seen. It measures 1.2 acres and contains an island in the middle.
